This means that you can simply unscrew the jammed drill in an anti-clockwise direction.

The STIHL 4-MIX® engine is a four-stroke engine that does not require any oil circuit components, thanks to refuelling with an oil and gasoline mix. That’s why it’s more compact, more lightweight, and requires less maintenance than conventional four-stroke engines, while at the same time being powerful and offering a comfortable sound pattern. The robust STIHL BT 131 earth auger is used by professionals in the horticultural, agricultural and construction sectors for the fast, efficient drilling of burrows for fences, plantations or point foundations.
Thanks to its powerful STIHL 4-MIX® engine, the machine can dig rapidly into the soil.
STIHL has equipped the BT 131 with the STIHL QuickStop drill brake to protect the operator. As soon as the drill jams in the earth, the release lever activates the STIHL QuickStop drill brake, bringing the drill to a standstill within a fraction of a second.
The start-up sequence has been simplified, making it more user-friendly. The large support cushion, included as standard, lies closely against the body during the drilling process. This allows the machine to be operated smoothly and precisely. The stable, low-vibration frame grip allows for especially effortless work.
The 0.7l fuel tank allows the machine to run for long periods.
