Description
Scarifying helps restore healthy turf by removing moss, thatch and organic build-up, allowing air, water and nutrients to reach the root zone more effectively. The Billy Goat CR551V is a compact commercial scarifier built for contractors and grounds teams maintaining landscaped areas, estates, parks and sports turf where reliability and manoeuvrability are equally important.
Powered by a Vanguard 160 169cc engine, the CR551V delivers dependable performance for routine commercial scarifying. Its compact design makes it easier to transport and manoeuvre while still offering a productive 51cm working width suitable for larger lawn areas.
The free-swinging flail reel is fitted with heat-treated blades that efficiently remove moss and thatch while helping protect the machine if the blades encounter hidden obstacles beneath the surface. Heavy-duty cast iron bearings with grease fittings provide long service life, while the adjustable idler allows accurate belt tension to be maintained for consistent performance.
Working depth can be adjusted between 12.7mm and 19mm to suit different turf conditions, and the ergonomic padded handlebars fold down quickly for transport and storage. An optional slicing reel can also be fitted in around ten minutes, allowing the machine to carry out additional turf renovation work when required.
